Simão Assunção took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bento Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquim Guarda charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Guarda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Andorinho's Joaquim Guarda got a free kick in the 7th minute. The supporters of Andorinho booed when Alguieira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Andorinho! In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Alguieira FC. Bento Borba stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Simão Assunção. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Alguieira FC's zone, Joaquim Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Amaral came out of the goal and Joaquim Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simão Assunção didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bento Lima went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Paulo Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Afonso Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alguieira FC's Afonso Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Abreu in the 34th minute of play. Paulo Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Amaral having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Bento Lima made the kick off in the second half. Alguieira FC's Afonso Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Abreu in the 51st minute of play. Joaquim Abreu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Afonso Amaral having to make a save. Joaquim Morais blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simão Assunção having to make a save. Afonso Amaral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquim Abreu went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. If Joaquim Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simão Assunção made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Lima in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Paulo Campos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquim Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Amaral having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Bento Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alguieira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bento Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simão Assunção breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andorinho's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Joaquim Morais scored to the left of an out of position Simão Assunção, making the score, 2-3. Bento Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
