Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gaspar Leão started the match with the kick off. Manuel Leiria struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Alberto Antunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moncarapacho. Manuel Dias did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Alberto Antunes 6 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Moncarapacho's Eduardo Azevedo got a free kick in the 9th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaspar Leão in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Álvaro Assis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Álvaro Baptista fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Martir's protests and gave Álvaro Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Martir getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Álvaro Baptista hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Martir's zone, Manuel Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Antunes came out of the goal and Manuel Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaspar Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Álvaro Assis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Artur Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Porto in the 27th minute of play forced Moncarapacho's goalkeeper Álvaro Assis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Leiria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artur Porto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Álvaro Assis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Leal in the 41st minute of play forced Martir's goalkeeper Alberto Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gaspar Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Leiria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Artur Porto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Álvaro Assis. Moncarapacho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Artur Porto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 57 minutes into the match, Martir's Artur Porto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Álvaro Assis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alberto Antunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonso Leal went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Manuel Leiria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Antunes having to interfere. Gaspar Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaspar Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Álvaro Assis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Leiria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Gaspar Leão fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Martir's protests and gave Gaspar Leão a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Moncarapacho booed when Martir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee gave Moncarapacho a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tiago Faria, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Martir's Alberto Antunes. 3-1. Alberto Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Dias in the 94th minute of play. Manuel Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Antunes having to interfere. Moncarapacho were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Martir for a fine match.
