The shot was stopped by Rui Pacheco but with some difficulty. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Nuno Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deveseira's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Vaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Viegas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. João Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. The supporters of Deveseira booed when Pedronhe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Morais didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nuno Vaz in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolfo Viegas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nuno Vaz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adolfo Viegas having to make a save. Nuno Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Pacheco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Amaral in the 29th minute. Nuno Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Viegas having to interfere. Nuno Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diogo Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Pacheco having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Diogo Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pedronhe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diogo Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Nuno Queirós made the kick off in the second half. Nuno Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Viegas having to interfere. If João Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute of the match Sérgio Mendes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui Pacheco skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Deveseira getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Carlos Aleixo hit a great ball. Rui Pacheco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogo Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute.
