The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, SC Otta's Paulo Mota got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Álvaro Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Larca's supporters rose to their feet, but Álvaro Miranda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrique Torres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henrique Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Larca booed when SC Otta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Mota in the 25th minute of the match. A collision led to Larca getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ricardo Ferro hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute of the match, Tiago Moura tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alexandre Correia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alexandre Correia made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Gustavo Pacheco sent off a good shot on target. Tiago Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Alexandre Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Gaspar Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Tiago Moura blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexandre Correia having to make a save.
