Larca's Alexandre Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Ribeiro in the 24th minute of play. Alexandre Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 27 minutes, Júlio Assunção mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Larca and the Trapa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 27 minutes into the game, one of Larca:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Eusébio Dantas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaspar Paredes in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Trapa FC's Humberto Ribeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Correia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Humberto Ribeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre Correia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. When Álvaro Miranda came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Larca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Miranda couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the match, Trapa FC's goalkeeper Eusébio Dantas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaspar Paredes. If Humberto Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Trapa FC's zone, Álvaro Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Dantas came out of the goal and Álvaro Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Álvaro Miranda was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Larca were awarded a corner. Gonçalo Azevedo went to the cornerflag to take it. Trapa FC's Américo Coelho got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Álvaro Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Larca's Eusébio Domingues got a free kick in the 71st minute. Catarino Faria struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Alexandre Correia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trapa FC. If Catarino Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-2 became the score in the 85th minute when Álvaro Miranda elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Catarino Faria in the 92nd minute of play forced Larca's goalkeeper Alexandre Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Trapa FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Joaquim Paredes hit a great ball. Trapa FC's Eusébio Dantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Paredes in the 94th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Álvaro Miranda in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusébio Dantas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Trapa FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
