Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Oliveira Soares took the kick off in the first half of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Andrade in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Barbosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 10 minutes into the match, Valagotes's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Andrade came free, but Cristiano Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Valagotes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Matias was slow to take the kick. During this time Cascao's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Cascao's David Andrade getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Cristiano Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Monteiro in the 18th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Valagotes's zone, Artur Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Barbosa came out of the goal and Artur Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Cascao's Rodrigo Cabral got control of the ball when Luís Aguiar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nuno Guerreiro's late challenge caught a Valagotes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuno Guerreiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute, Nuno Guerreiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valagotes's Luís Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodrigo Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliveira Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Adolfo Monteiro struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Cristiano Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cascao. When Cascao's Manuel Andrade in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Valagotes's goalie prevented a goal. In the 43rd minute, Carlos Jesus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Manuel Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cascao's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

54 minutes into the game, Valagotes's Oliveira Soares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Cabral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 59th minute, Adolfo Monteiro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cristiano Barbosa, passed just outside the right post. After 62 minutes of play Cascao's Nuno Guerreiro was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Cascao getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Nuno Guerreiro hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute of the match André Guerreiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodrigo Cabral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Oliveira Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Rodrigo Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Valagotes booed when Cascao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute Valagotes were awarded a corner. André Guerreiro went to the cornerflag to take it. Valagotes's Paulo Neto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rodrigo Cabral in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Manuel Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Cascao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Andrade couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute there was a penalty for Cascao. Daniel Matias stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cristiano Barbosa. 1-2. A collision led to Cascao getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Artur Pinho hit a great ball. Rodrigo Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliveira Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
