Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gaspar Torres made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of Malaqueijo booed when SC Sucres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Borba didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 9 played minutes SC Sucres got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Guarda. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristiano Teixeira during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Sucres's Cristiano Teixeira got a free kick in the 11th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Malaqueijo's Alexandre Magalhães broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Malaqueijo booed when SC Sucres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júlio Leite's late challenge caught a SC Sucres's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júlio Leite helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Malaqueijo getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Júlio Leite hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Moreira in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacinto Pinto saved Malaqueijo from getting behind. When Gustavo Marques came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the SC Sucres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Marques couldn't finish the play. Malaqueijo's Jacinto Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Moreira in the 22nd minute of play. Alexandre Magalhães charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandre Magalhães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th minute, Alexandre Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Pinto having to interfere. Pedro Guarda hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Carlos Guerreiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Carlos Guerreiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, SC Sucres's Rui Dantas got a free kick in the 35th minute. Rui Dantas hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The long shot by Alexandre Magalhães in the 41st minute really tested Carlos Guerreiro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Gaspar Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malaqueijo's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Torres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Guerreiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaspar Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Moreira to strike the kick off in the second half. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Sucres! In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Malaqueijo's goalkeeper Jacinto Pinto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Cabral in the 67th minute of play forced SC Sucres's goalkeeper Carlos Guerreiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustavo Marques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the game, Carlos Moreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Sucres's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malaqueijo the free kick. Carlos Moreira hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After 85 minutes, Joaquim Machado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malaqueijo and the SC Sucres players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joaquim Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Júlio Leite was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Carlos Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Guerreiro having to interfere.
