The referee ignored SC Mandorelha's protests and gave Marco Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. Marco Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. If Jorge Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 minutes of play, SC Mandorelha's Nuno Moura made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simão Setúbal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mouril FC's Carlos Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simão Setúbal came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Mandorelha's Eusébio Bessa. But to his dismay, Eusébio Bessa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

52 minutes into the game, Filipe Ribeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mouril FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Mandorelha the free kick. Filipe Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Diogo Lisboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Setúbal having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Carlos Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mouril FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Figueiredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miguel Assis kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Mouril FC's Simão Setúbal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Lisboa in the 63rd minute of play. After 65 minutes, Eusébio Bessa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Mandorelha and the Mouril FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 74 minutes of play SC Mandorelha's Marco Cunha was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 75th minute, Marco Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diogo Lisboa's late challenge caught a Mouril FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 77 played minutes, Mouril FC's Rogério Mendes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eusébio Figueiredo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mouril FC reached it. After a rather tough play, SC Mandorelha's Nuno Moura got a free kick in the 80th minute. Rogério Mendes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eusébio Figueiredo. SC Mandorelha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Mandorelha eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
