After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Filipe Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espirra FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heitor Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Heitor Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Espirra FC's Manuel Pinho got a free kick in the 61st minute. 64 minutes into the match, Espirra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Rodrigues came free, but Xavier Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 68 minutes, Simão Morais mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borbolega FC and the Espirra FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Espirra FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute, Filipe Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandre Guerreiro's late challenge caught a Espirra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Guerreiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Mário Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xavier Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
