Gabriel Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Joaquim Gomes made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Porto. SC Cavalinhos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Ricardo Lisboa made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Joaquim Garcia sent off a good shot on target. Mariano Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Lisboa having to interfere. Gabriel Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Ricardo Lisboa managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when SC Cavalinhos's Joaquim Garcia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mariano Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Joaquim Garcia came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the SC Cavalinhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Garcia couldn't finish the play. Joaquim Garcias short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Ricardo Lisboa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 47th minute, Joaquim Garcia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Mariano Mota made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Joaquim Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Cavalinhos's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Garcia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Lisboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Lisboa came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Cavalinhos's Mariano Mota. But to his dismay, Mariano Mota quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Joaquim Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cabomonte's zone, Nuno Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Lisboa came out of the goal and Nuno Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mariano Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delfim Aleixo got free with Gabriel Porto in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to SC Cavalinhos getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Luís Azevedo hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Afonso Bessa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, SC Cavalinhos's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Borges came free, but Gabriel Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Cavalinhos's Gabriel Porto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Cavalinhos from getting a goal against them. After having played for 83 minutes, Joaquim Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Cavalinhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Lisboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Mota in the 85th minute of play. With his leg Gabriel Porto managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Cabomonte's Delfim Aleixo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
