Jaime Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Manuel Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Figueirinha FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Francisco Lisboa hit a great ball. After 7 minutes, Nuno Pacheco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Figueirinha FC and the Souto FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Souto FC's Jaime Coimbra got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Vieira got free with João Araújo in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, Souto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Alves came free, but João Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Alves did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised João Araújo 22 minutes into the match. Alexandre Vieira let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 25th minute shot 2-0 at rihgt post. Pedro Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Francisco Lisboa fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Figueirinha FC's protests and gave Francisco Lisboa a yellow card for diving instead. Francisco Lisboa hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Souto FC's João Araújo got control of the ball when Alexandre Vieira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 41 minutes, Raul Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Figueirinha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Coimbra made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Pedro Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Souto FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Alves in the 65th minute of play. Alexandre Vieira charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandre Vieira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Souto FC booed when Figueirinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Cristiano Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Nuno Pacheco came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Figueirinha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Pacheco couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Figueirinha FC booed when Souto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Faro didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Bessa in the 80th minute of the match. The supporters of Souto FC booed when Figueirinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Lisboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Figueirinha FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Souto FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
