The supporters of Figueirinha FC booed when Cardosinhas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Coimbra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Vieira in the 22nd minute of play. Manuel Faria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Matos in the 25th minute of the match. Paulo Henriques's late challenge caught a Cardosinhas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Henriques helped the player get up and apologised. 33 minutes into the match, Figueirinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Matos came free, but Manuel Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Alves hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Figueirinha FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Cláudio Brito scored to the left of an out of position Manuel Faria, making the score, 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raul Alves to make the kick off. Bruno Queirós's late challenge caught a Figueirinha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th match minute, Cardosinhas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Queirós to maneuver through the defense. José Coimbra was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cristóvão Bessa. Raul Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd match minute, Cardosinhas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Cristóvão Bessa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 93rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Figueirinha FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
