The supporters of SC Monsarros booed when Aveleiras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Albertino Pinheiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Gueifão was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Vaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SC Monsarros's Fernando Gueifão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Monsarros from getting a goal against them. After 57 minutes, Jorge Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aveleiras FC and the SC Monsarros players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jorge Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. João Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Albertino Pinheiro fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 66 minutes into the match, SC Monsarros's João Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquim Fonseca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Vaz might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Gueifão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Vaz ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Aveleiras FC's zone, João Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Fonseca came out of the goal and João Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Barros hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. João Amaral struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Joaquim Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Monsarros. Fernando Gueifão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Vaz in the 85th minute of play. João Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Joaquim Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Soares was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Daniel Vaz charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Vaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Aveleiras FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Daniel Vaz hit a great ball. After 91 played minutes, SC Monsarros's Lúcio Anjos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joaquim Fonseca came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Monsarros reached it. Rogério Lopes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquim Fonseca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. When Carlos Lima fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aveleiras FC's protests and gave Carlos Lima a yellow card for diving instead. Carlos Lima hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Rogério Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Fonseca having to interfere.
