Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Alfeicao FC's Américo Gomes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Américo Gomes in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Óscar Pereira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oliveira Barbosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Óscar Pereira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. André Soares's late challenge caught a SC Ester's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Soares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11thth minute of the game Fábio Assunção who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alfeicao FC's André Vaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedro Ferro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Vaz having to interfere. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Ester's goalkeeper Óscar Pereira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Óscar Pereira made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Oliveira Barbosa sent off a good shot on target. When Pedro Ferro came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the SC Ester fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Ferro couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Oliveira Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alfeicao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliveira Barbosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Óscar Pereira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Moura during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Miguel Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Oliveira Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Miguel Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Ferro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SC Ester were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Alfeicao FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Delfim Leal took the corner. SC Ester's Delfim Leal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but André Vaz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Pedro Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Ester's Fábio Assunção got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fábio Assunção recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Alfeicao FC defense, Fábio Assunção kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Vaz. The Alfeicao FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Vaz should have stopped the shot. Oliveira Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Óscar Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg André Vaz managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when SC Ester's Fábio Assunção fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 87th minute, Pedro Ferro fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Fábio Assunção struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. André Vaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Ester. With a little luck, Alfeicao FC's André Vaz got control of the ball when Fábio Assunção tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfeicao FC's Américo Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Ferro struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. André Vaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Ester. When the match was over SC Ester could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Alfeicao FC throughout the match.
