Nuno Delgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Américo Gomes in the 3rd minute of the match. Cristóvão Leiria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Vaz having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Cristóvão Leiria dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of André Vaz, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, José Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Quinteiro's supporters rose to their feet, but José Faro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Vaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 2-0 when José Faro sped through Alfeicao FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of André Vaz. André Vaz was a little too slow when José Faro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 3-0. José Faro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but André Vaz made a huge save. Cristóvão Leiria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. André Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, José Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Quinteiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Faro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nuno Delgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliveira Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 48 minutes into the game, Alfeicao FC's Carlos Cunha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nuno Delgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristóvão Leiria to make the kick off. Oliveira Barbosa came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nuno Delgado could save by the left post. Américo Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that José Faro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but André Vaz was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. 72 minutes into the match, SC Quinteiro's goalkeeper Nuno Delgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oliveira Barbosa. 73 minutes into the game, José Faro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. André Vaz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Alfeicao FC booed when SC Quinteiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Alfeicao FC's Oliveira Barbosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nuno Delgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
