In the 9thth minute of the game Manuel Faro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alagoinha FC's José Barbosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Alagoinha FC's Lúcio Oliveira got a free kick in the 10th minute. Filipe Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Luís Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If António Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. Luís Silva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filipe Sá went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 29th minute, José Domingues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Álvaro Reis hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Alagoinha FC's Lúcio Oliveira got a free kick in the 38th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Manuel Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Caxias's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Faro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

After 50 played minutes SC Caxias got a freekick which was hit by Armindo Rocha. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filipe Sá in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Silva saved SC Caxias from getting behind. Manuel Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Filipe Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Luís Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, SC Caxias's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Sá came free, but Luís Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Filipe Sá's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Silva was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Alagoinha FC's José Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Domingues in the 89th minute of play. José Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Domingues in the 92nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Filipe Sá kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luís Silva. That made the score 0-2 in the 95 minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Alagoinha FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
