If Afonso Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Luz in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Lopes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Afonso Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Correia's late challenge caught a Carapinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filipe Correia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Lisei's Filipe Correia got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute of the match Xavier Machado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joaquim Correia skillfully saved the ball. António Martins hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Luís Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, João Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carapinha's supporters rose to their feet, but João Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute, Afonso Alves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If João Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Jaime Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Luz in the 41st minute of play forced Carapinha's goalkeeper Luís Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Carapinha's goalkeeper Luís Lopes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 52nd minute João Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Joaquim Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Rui Luz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Lisei fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 65 minutes, Jacinto Coimbra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carapinha and the SC Lisei players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th minute João Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 72nd minute of the match Jacinto Coimbra completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jacinto Coimbra a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Carapinha getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Jacinto Coimbra hit a great ball. Luís Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Luz in the 73rd minute of the match. Rui Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After 75 played minutes Rui Luz rounded Carapinha's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Rui Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute Afonso Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Correia came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Carapinha's Afonso Alves. But to his dismay, Afonso Alves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Rui Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Lopes having to interfere. The SC Lisei supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Lisei would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
