Filipe Correia didn't quite understand what happened when in the 15 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogério Correia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 36 minutes into the game, Carlos Matias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Lisei's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golaes the free kick. Carlos Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. António Nascimento, 37 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Mário Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Golaes's supporters rose to their feet, but Mário Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. During the 46th minute of the match José Aguiar completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave José Aguiar a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. José Aguiar hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Rogério Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Branco in the 53rd minute of the match. SC Lisei's Jaime Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rogério Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 68 played minutes Golaes got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Porto. Rui Luz struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Rogério Correia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Lisei. When Jaime Branco came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the SC Lisei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Branco couldn't finish the play. If Jaime Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Rogério Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 minutes of play, SC Lisei's Rui Luz made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rogério Correia was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Golaes defense, Jaime Branco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rogério Correia. The Golaes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rogério Correia should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SC Lisei had played much better football throughout.
