Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nuno Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. João Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Reis in the 8th minute of play. Miguel Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertino Guarda in the 9th minute of play. João Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Miguel Ribeiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but David Vale showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. In the 16th minute, David Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogério Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Costa having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filipe Matos during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes Frazao FC got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Matos. A collision led to Frazao FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. David Vale hit a great ball. The supporters of Seixas FC booed when Frazao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Rogério Macedo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Frazao FC's João Costa didn't even have to move. Seixas FC's Miguel Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertino Guarda in the 27th minute of play. If Simão Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Seixas FC's Rogério Macedo got a free kick in the 30th minute. If Rogério Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. In the 37th minute Albertino Guarda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano Monteiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Costa having to make a save. In the 43rd match minute, Frazao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Matos to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

If Filipe Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simão Barros in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Ribeiro saved Seixas FC from getting behind. After 57 played minutes Seixas FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Monteiro. João Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogério Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Seixas FC's Cristiano Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tiago Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Costa having to interfere.
