Eduardo Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Basílio Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Duarte Faro to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Fernando Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Routar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duarte Faro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Mangona FC defense, Eduardo Viana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Basílio Fonseca. The Mangona FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basílio Fonseca should have stopped the shot. Fernando Correia took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Domingos Viana. Domingos Viana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. If Gustavo Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Routar's Domingos Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Correia in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Óscar Pedroso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Domingos Viana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Routar's André Marques got a free kick in the 94th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Routar's zone, Gustavo Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingos Viana came out of the goal and Gustavo Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
