Pedro Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliveira Viegas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oliveira Viegas was extremely unlucky when he, in the 11th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Tomás Lisboa struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Lucas Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gestinha FC. Tomás Lisboa struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. When Tomás Lisboa came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Gestinha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Lisboa couldn't finish the play. If Pedro Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th match minute, Gestinha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Fontes to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the game, one of Gestinha FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some careless play in the Gestinha FC defense, Pedro Nascimento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Matias. The Gestinha FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Matias should have stopped the shot. Adolfo Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Jardo FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. David Anjos hit a great ball. After the first half Jardo FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Nascimento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Oliveira Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Faro took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Matias. Paulo Matias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Lucas Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliveira Viegas in the 65th minute of play. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gestinha FC's goalkeeper Paulo Matias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Nascimento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Matias having to make a save. Adolfo Faro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Matias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Daniel Martins charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Martins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Jardo FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Daniel Martins hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute Tomás Lisboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucas Gomes came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gestinha FC's Oliveira Viegas. But to his dismay, Oliveira Viegas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 87th minute, Catarino Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristóvão Leite was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Paulo Matias made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Adolfo Faro sent off a good shot on target. 91 minutes into the match, Gestinha FC's goalkeeper Paulo Matias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adolfo Faro. Paulo Matias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Nascimento in the 93rd minute of play. Nuno Carneiro's late challenge caught a Jardo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuno Carneiro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gestinha FC's Nuno Carneiro got a free kick in the 97th minute. The Jardo FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
