Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mário Brito took the kick off in the first half of the match. When António Paiva fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valduge FC's protests and gave António Paiva a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes Valduge FC got a freekick which was hit by António Paiva. 10 minutes into the match, Valduge FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Coelho came free, but Gaspar Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ricardo Assis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Valduge FC's Gaspar Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Coelho in the 13th minute of play. Gaspar Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Júlio Ferro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armando Henriques having to make a save. Sérgio Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Armando Henriques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Cristiano Coelho took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Gaspar Dias to make any attempt to save it. 33 minutes into the match, Melga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Ferro came free, but Armando Henriques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Dias having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristiano Coelho to strike the kick off in the second half. The corner led Melga FC's Rui Brito to fire away a dangerous shot which Gaspar Dias despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Cristiano Coelho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaspar Dias. Valduge FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristiano Coelho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Moura during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Melga FC's Ricardo Campos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Valduge FC. Cristiano Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Dias having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Cristiano Coelho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaspar Dias was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Cristiano Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Dias having to interfere. Gaspar Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Assis, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Valduge FC's zone, Cristiano Coelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Dias came out of the goal and Cristiano Coelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Melga FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Valduge FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
