Luís Pires made an important save on a dangerous shot by Heitor Brás in the 11th minute. Rafael Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After having played for 13 minutes, Heitor Brás managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capinha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heitor Brás was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Jorge Reis took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Luís Pires to make any attempt to save it. When Mário Morais fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Luís Pires was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Bernardo Aleixo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bernardo Aleixo really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardo Aleixo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Diamantino Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Capinha FC's zone, António Aleixo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Nogueira came out of the goal and António Aleixo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Aleixo in the 59th minute of play. António Aleixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Nogueira having to interfere. SC Gramachinha's Luís Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heitor Brás in the 65th minute of play. Viriato Baptista hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match.
