Cândido Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Neves in the 3rd minute of play. Luís Neto hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Simão Neves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cândido Esteves. That made the score 2-0 in the 10 minute of play. Cândido Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simão Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simão Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Esteves having to interfere. Nuno Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Esteves having to interfere. If Gaspar Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Fernando Jesus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucas Alves was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. When Simão Neves came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Funchosa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Neves couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Vaz in the 41st minute of play forced Funchosa FC's goalkeeper Lucas Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaspar Vaz took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucas Alves. Lucas Alves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Simão Neves made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Nuno Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Funchosa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Pereira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Funchosa FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Nuno Moreira hit a great ball. Lucas Alves didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 58th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Moledo FC's goalkeeper Cândido Esteves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nuno Trindade hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 76th match minute, Moledo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Esteves to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Paulo Rodrigues sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Moledo FC's Cândido Esteves didn't even have to move. Funchosa FC's Lucas Alves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Funchosa FC from getting a goal against them. Cândido Esteves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nuno Pereira's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Gaspar Vaz notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Funchosa FC's Lucas Alves. Lucas Alves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gaspar Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Alves having to interfere. Nuno Pereira struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Cândido Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Funchosa FC. Nuno Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Esteves having to interfere.
