Gaspar Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amadeu Lisboa during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Faria's Amadeu Lisboa got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 15th minute of the game, José Leiria landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Adelino Barros's late challenge caught a Gregorios FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adelino Barros helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Faria getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Adelino Barros hit a great ball. When Amadeu Lisboa was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 18 minutes had been played. Amadeu Lisboa hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Gaspar Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Paredes in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of SC Faria booed when Gregorios FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonso Amorim's shot from long distance in the 24th minute was not bad at all, but Gregorios FC's Alfredo Porto knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Gaspar Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Veiga in the 28th minute of play. When Francisco Veiga came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Gregorios FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Veiga couldn't finish the play. 32 minutes into the match, SC Faria's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Veiga came free, but Gaspar Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Coelho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alfredo Porto firmly grabbed it by the left post. Adelino Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in SC Faria's zone, Francisco Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Borges came out of the goal and Francisco Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Borges having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Francisco Veiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaspar Borges was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Artur Coelho was the one to do the kick off. Artur Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the game, Artur Coelho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Alfredo Porto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 66th minute, Francisco Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filipe Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Borges having to interfere. A collision led to Gregorios FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Nuno Santos hit a great ball. Artur Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Porto having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Francisco Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gregorios FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaspar Borges breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee ignored Gregorios FC's protests and gave António Moutinho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gregorios FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. António Moutinho hit a great ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
