Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Esporao FC's Cândido Figueiredo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alexandre Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Heitor Santarém managed to get in a good position for a shot. Camachos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Heitor Santarém was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Faria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marco Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristiano Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandre Amaral in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16th minute of the match Camachos FC got a corner. Esporao FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Humberto Guarda ran over to the corner to take the kick. Esporao FC's Cristiano Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Amaral in the 17th minute of play. When Humberto Guarda fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Camachos FC's protests and gave Humberto Guarda a yellow card for diving instead. Marco Brito let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 21st minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. Marco Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Fernando Pinheiro made a huge save. Alexandre Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Cristiano Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Heitor Santarém shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Cristiano Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Heitor Santarém fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Faria having to interfere. If Manuel Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Cândido Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Fernando Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre Amaral in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Faria saved Esporao FC from getting behind. In the 61st minute Alexandre Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Amaral in the 64th minute of play forced Esporao FC's goalkeeper Cristiano Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Heitor Santarém got free with Cristiano Faria in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 71 played minutes Camachos FC got a freekick which was hit by José Neves. Heitor Santarém sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Esporao FC's Óscar Abreu got a free kick in the 75th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Cândido Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esporao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cândido Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marco Brito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Pinheiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Camachos FC's Eusébio Bessa seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Eusébio Bessa the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Camachos FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Eusébio Bessa had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Sandro Nogueira placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Cândido Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Pinheiro having to interfere. Humberto Guarda kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. If Marco Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esporao FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
