After 34 played minutes SC Escalhao got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão Abreu. The Vinhal FC fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Vinhal FC's Raul Moniz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. SC Escalhao's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Raul Moniz scored to the left of an out of position André Lopes, making the score, 2-1. 46 minutes into the game, SC Escalhao's Pedro Jesus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucas Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Daniel Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 72 minutes, Domingos Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vinhal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Cabral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Jesus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Lucas Amorim made a huge save. Raul Moniz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Lopes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play.
