José Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

If Rui Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 67 minutes, Gabriel Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Braga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Freitas in the 69th minute of play forced Abunheira FC's goalkeeper Fernando Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Ribeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacinto Pinheiro went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Gabriel Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Abunheira FC booed when SC Braga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vicente Freitas struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Fernando Castro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Braga. Fernando Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriel Cruz's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. The referee gave SC Braga a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by João Valente, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Abunheira FC's Fernando Castro. 1-1. The Abunheira FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented SC Braga from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
