Inácio Borba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 27thth minute of the game Heitor Baptista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Argande FC's Filipe Nascimento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joaquim Amorim charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Heitor Baptista stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Inácio Borba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Gaspar in the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Argande FC's goalkeeper Filipe Nascimento, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Henrique Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Carmo FC booed when Argande FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Heitor Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Nascimento having to interfere. Rui Barbosa took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Filipe Nascimento. Filipe Nascimento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. A collision led to Argande FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Armindo Domingues hit a great ball. Rui Luz didn't quite understand what happened when in the 71 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After 76 played minutes Argande FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Trindade. Rui Barbosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filipe Nascimento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rui Barbosa ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Argande FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carmo FC:s goal. In the 82nd minute of the match Ricardo Oliveira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filipe Nascimento showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 84th minute Rui Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rui Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Filipe Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Carmo FC's zone, Henrique Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Borba came out of the goal and Henrique Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Mota during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jorge Mota hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Filipe Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heitor Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Argande FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! For all the effort they put into the match, the Argande FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Carmo FC.
