Manuel Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After a rather tough play, Catasol's Rafael Costa got a free kick in the 11th minute. André Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Miranda in the 15th minute of play. If Jaime Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Campos took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fábio Baptista. Fábio Baptista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 28th minute Adolfo Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Catasol's Jaime Neto fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 32nd minute, Jaime Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Adolfo Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fábio Baptista made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Manuel Castro sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in SC Orjo's zone, Jaime Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Matos came out of the goal and Jaime Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Neto struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. André Matos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catasol. 40 minutes into the match, SC Orjo's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Miranda came free, but André Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Catasol's Sérgio Assis got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Fábio Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Castro to make the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Jaime Neto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Orjo's André Matos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 60th minute, Adolfo Miranda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catasol fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Bruno Campos managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Orjo's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Campos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fábio Baptista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolfo Miranda got free with André Matos in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manuel Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Fábio Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fábio Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Campos in the 82nd minute of play. Sérgio Assis charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sérgio Assis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd match minute, Catasol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Assis to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Castro in the 84th minute of play forced Catasol's goalkeeper Fábio Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Orjo's Manuel Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. André Matos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adolfo Miranda in the 92nd minute. If Bruno Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Castro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fábio Baptista having to make a save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Catasol had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
