A very good chance. 9 minutes into the match, Bajolo's Jaime Viana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Humberto Aleixo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jaime Viana received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Humberto Aleixo came out and tried to block the shot, but Jaime Viana slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. A hard shot 14 in the game by Delfim Torres from a close distance when the talented Humberto Aleixo managed to make a qualified save. Penedos FC's players were relieved. Delfim Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Delfim Torres took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Humberto Aleixo. Humberto Aleixo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Sandro Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandro Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Azevedo having to interfere. Penedos FC's Bernardo Aleixo got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 43 minutes into the game, Sandro Gueifão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Penedos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bajolo the free kick. In the 47th match minute, Bajolo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Mota to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardo Aleixo was the one to do the kick off. Jaime Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Aleixo having to interfere. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Penedos FC's goalkeeper Humberto Aleixo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusébio Garcia during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 played minutes Penedos FC got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Garcia. Delfim Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaime Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Aleixo having to interfere. When Delfim Torres came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Bajolo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delfim Torres couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Bajolo's Tomás Azevedo got control of the ball when Sandro Gueifão tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandro Gueifão got free with Tomás Azevedo in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th minute Jaime Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Aleixo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Aleixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Tomás Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Humberto Aleixo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After 87 played minutes Penedos FC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Lisboa. Bajolo were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
