The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Gueifão helped the player get up and apologised. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Domingos Reis during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The coaching staff of SC Alfambra protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Diamantino Maia had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of SC Alfambra:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Penedos FC:s goal. Paulo Melo shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardo Aleixo to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Sandro Gueifão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lourenço Gueifão. SC Alfambra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sandro Gueifão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Lourenço Gueifão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sandro Gueifão's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Bernardo Aleixo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Hugo Pinheiro put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Humberto Aleixo. Penedos FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Hugo Pinheiro scored to the left of an out of position Humberto Aleixo, making the score, 1-2. A collision led to Penedos FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Joaquim Borba hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Gueifão in the 86th minute of play forced SC Alfambra's goalkeeper Lourenço Gueifão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, SC Alfambra's Hugo Pinheiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Humberto Aleixo narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
