Bernardo Rocha started the match with the kick off. Nuno Setúbal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 11 minutes, Bernardo Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baloutas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristiano Carneiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristiano Campos's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Cristiano Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Setúbal in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, Miguel Bessa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baloutas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buraca the free kick. Miguel Bessa hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Baloutas's goalkeeper Cristiano Pereira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 31 minutes into the game, Ricardo Macedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Cristiano Pereira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Cristiano Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Cristiano Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Assis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Rocha in the 45th minute of play forced Buraca's goalkeeper Cristiano Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Buraca's Cristiano Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Rocha in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Nuno Setúbal made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Bernardo Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Carneiro was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Henrique Esteves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cristiano Pereira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Macedo in the 62nd minute of play forced Baloutas's goalkeeper Cristiano Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Buraca's Cristiano Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Buraca from getting a goal against them. 69 minutes into the match, Buraca's goalkeeper Cristiano Carneiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristiano Campos. 73 minutes into the match, Baloutas's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Setúbal came free, but Cristiano Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Macedo in the 74th minute of play forced Baloutas's goalkeeper Cristiano Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristiano Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Setúbal in the 75th minute of play. Buraca's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Bernardo Rocha scored to the left of an out of position Cristiano Carneiro, making the score, 2-1. If Cristiano Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albertino Borba charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albertino Borba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristiano Campos in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cristiano Carneiro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 90th match minute, Buraca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertino Borba to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardo Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Pereira having to interfere. Baloutas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
