The SC Antes fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when SC Antes's Gonçalo Queirós looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Concieiro's Jorge Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Gomes in the 14th minute of play. Alfredo Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gonçalo Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jorge Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Paulo Tavares struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Alfredo Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Concieiro. If Vítor Coimbra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Queirós in the 42nd minute of play forced SC Concieiro's goalkeeper Jorge Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Rodrigues having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Henrique Brito made the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Coimbra in the 53rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henrique Brito in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Leão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute, Gonçalo Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Antes's goalkeeper Alfredo Leão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
