Sobreira's António Assunção proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Sobreira from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in SC Chamine's zone, Carlos Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raul Borba came out of the goal and Carlos Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute, Carlos Nogueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raul Borba was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 27th minute, Armindo Vale had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Moura during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th minute, Álvaro Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusébio Vieira hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 31 minutes, David Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Chamine and the Sobreira players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes SC Chamine got a freekick which was hit by David Nascimento. 34 minutes into the match, Sobreira's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Magalhães came free, but António Assunção reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sobreira's Gonçalo Pinto got a free kick in the 38th minute. When SC Chamine's Júlio Magalhães in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sobreira's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Magalhães in the 41st minute of play forced Sobreira's goalkeeper António Assunção to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Sobreira's António Assunção got control of the ball when Domingos Henriques tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júlio Magalhães was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Domingos Henriques ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. António Assunção was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 57th minute, Domingos Henriques made a precise shot to the right of António Assunção. Sobreira's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Henriques in the 66th minute of play forced Sobreira's goalkeeper António Assunção to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Chamine's Domingos Henriques got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute Júlio Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Assunção saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Nogueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raul Borba having to make a save. After a rather tough play, SC Chamine's Álvaro Moura got a free kick in the 78th minute. Júlio Magalhães took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised António Assunção. António Assunção dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Carlos Nogueira struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Raul Borba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sobreira. Carlos Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Chamine were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sobreira for a fine match.
