Sousel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Bernardes the free kick. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sousel! The referee gave SC Bernardes a penalty, 4 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Henrique Macedo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sousel's Lourenço Aguiar. 0-1. Daniel Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Resende having to interfere. Inácio Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck António Resende prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Albertino Amaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but António Resende was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 64th minute Albertino Amaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Resende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Dias in the 66th minute of play forced Sousel's goalkeeper Lourenço Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to SC Bernardes getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. André Queirós hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, Sousel's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Dias came free, but Lourenço Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Daniel Fernandes came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Sousel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Fernandes couldn't finish the play. Daniel Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Resende having to interfere. The supporters of Sousel booed when SC Bernardes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. António Resende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Fernandes in the 81st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sousel's Américo Costa got a free kick in the 84th minute. Henrique Macedo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 85th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Sousel getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Rui Castro hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Alberto Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Bernardes's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Dias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lourenço Aguiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lourenço Aguiar made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Inácio Faria sent off a good shot on target. Lourenço Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Bernardes's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
