If Sandro Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandro Guerreiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Alexandre Coelho made a huge save. Mário Leiria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Raul Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandro Guerreiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Coelho having to interfere. Mário Leiria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raul Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Leiria in the 30th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandro Guerreiro got free with Alexandre Coelho in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nuno Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Alexandre Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandro Guerreiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
Granjinha FC's Raul Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Coelho in the 51st minute of play. Paulo Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Marques having to interfere. Raul Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 64th play minute Mário Leiria came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Raul Marques. 0-1. Raul Marques made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Mário Leiria sent off a good shot on target. Mário Leiria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Marques having to interfere. Raul Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Ricardo Moutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Granjinha FC's Ricardo Moutinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Coelho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Penalva eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
