It was Hugo Dantas who took care of the corner kick. Gajao FC's Hugo Dantas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but André Sousa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rafael Nogueira charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Nogueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th match minute, Gajao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Catarino Lima's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaime Gomes was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nuno Coimbra to make the kick off. Catarino Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Gomes having to interfere. David Matias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaime Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catarino Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. André Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
