With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Leiria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeu Leal in the 32nd minute of play forced Burnaria's goalkeeper João Leiria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simão Paiva struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. João Leiria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abrunheira. André Melo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 42 minutes of play, Burnaria's André Melo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adelino Gomes was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Burnaria booed when Abrunheira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Abrunheira players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Burnaria were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mário Aleixo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Simão Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Leiria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simão Paiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Leiria having to make a save. In the 56th minute, Amadeu Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th match minute, Abrunheira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Faria to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Amadeu Leal made a precise shot to the right of João Leiria. Burnaria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 69th minute of the match, André Melo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Adelino Gomes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 71stth minute of the game Mário Aleixo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abrunheira's Adelino Gomes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. André Melo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Adelino Gomes made a huge save. When Abrunheira's Amadeu Leal in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Burnaria's goalie prevented a goal. Adelino Gomes made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when André Melo sent off a good shot on target. In the 87th minute, Adolfo Paredes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 89 minutes, Mário Aleixo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burnaria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mário Aleixo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Vasco Branco fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Abrunheira's protests and gave Vasco Branco a yellow card for diving instead. Vasco Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
