An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Mariano Leal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. SC Lamegal's Mariano Leal got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 19th minute, Mariano Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the SC Lamegal defense, Amadeu Leal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gil Dias. The SC Lamegal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gil Dias should have stopped the shot. Gil Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Leal in the 40th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Mariano Leal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 46 minutes into the match, Simão Paiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gil Dias. SC Lamegal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Simão Paiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Guarda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, João Guarda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adelino Gomes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Amadeu Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of SC Lamegal booed when Abrunheira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasco Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Faria hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Gil Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Leal in the 72nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Lamegal's Mariano Amaral got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Gil Dias was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Simão Paiva capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Simão Paiva really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Abrunheira's Vasco Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Guarda took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adelino Gomes. Adelino Gomes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Abrunheira's Simão Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Abrunheira players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
