In the 4th minute, Gaspar Alves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to SC Anelhe getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Amadeu Ferro hit a great ball. SC Assamaca's Nuno Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Sousa in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Gaspar Alves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nuno Torres. SC Assamaca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaspar Alves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 20th minute Diamantino Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Júlio Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Anelhe's supporters rose to their feet, but Júlio Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Torres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Júlio Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the SC Anelhe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Sousa couldn't finish the play. Gaspar Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute, Diogo Miranda had to leave the field with a concussion. Diamantino Melo hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Gaspar Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Nuno Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiago Henriques's late challenge caught a SC Assamaca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Henriques helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th minute, Tiago Henriques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute, Duarte Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Fonseca in the 44th minute of the match. Duarte Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Branco having to interfere.

The wind increased when Duarte Brito made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes SC Anelhe got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Freitas. Duarte Brito struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Carlos Branco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Assamaca. Duarte Brito hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Joaquim Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Carlos Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diamantino Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. The audience was convinced that Duarte Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Branco was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. In the 73rd minute Duarte Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joaquim Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the game, Diamantino Marques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Assamaca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Anelhe the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Anelhe had won after a very even match.
