Paulo Morais's late challenge caught a Quintiaes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Morais helped the player get up and apologised. Quintiaes FC's Cláudio Ribeiro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 5th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Manhosa. Armindo Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Morais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Santos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Luz in the 18th minute of play forced Quintiaes FC's goalkeeper Armindo Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Jorge Luz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armindo Santos was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Jorge Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Santos having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Augusto Brás had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armindo Santos. Quintiaes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augusto Brás was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jorge Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Armindo Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Jorge Luz notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Quintiaes FC's Armindo Santos. Armindo Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Quintiaes FC's Joel Sousa got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Lourenço Pinheiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Bessa having to make a save. 43 minutes into the game, Manhosa's Jorge Luz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armindo Santos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lourenço Pinheiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Joel Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quintiaes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th match minute, Manhosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Correia to maneuver through the defense. After 58 played minutes Manhosa got a freekick which was hit by António Correia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lourenço Pinheiro in the 62nd minute of play forced Manhosa's goalkeeper José Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Quintiaes FC booed when Manhosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Morais didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute Lourenço Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Bessa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Pacheco charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Pacheco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th match minute, Quintiaes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Pacheco to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute Jorge Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Manhosa's Jorge Luz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Armindo Santos. Armindo Santos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Manhosa played a much better game than Quintiaes FC and deserved their victory. The Quintiaes FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
