Rui Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Reis having to interfere. Rogério Ribeiro made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Filipe Borges sent off a good shot on target. Alexandre Leite blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Reis having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Rui Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cumeiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Faro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute of the match, Luís Assis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rogério Ribeiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Óscar Abreu hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Rui Faro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Luís Assis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rogério Ribeiro. That made the score 1-0 in the 30 minute of play. Rogério Ribeiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Filipe Borges showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 33 minute of play. Bajolo's José Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Moutinho in the 36th minute of play. Joaquim Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th match minute, Bajolo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Ramos to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Luís Assis made the kick off in the second half. Vítor Moutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Rui Dias was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 53rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Rui Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joaquim Ramos was shown his second yellow card after 59 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 60th match minute, Bajolo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Ramos to maneuver through the defense. Cumeiras's Nuno Fontes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bajolo. Raul Teixeira hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Rui Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot. The audience was convinced that Alexandre Leite's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Reis was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. 92 minutes into the match, Cumeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Borges came free, but Rogério Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 94 played minutes Bajolo got a freekick which was hit by Óscar Abreu. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bajolo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cumeiras had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
