Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Jacinto Moreira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Américo Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Luís Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Américo Vieira charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Américo Vieira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tartomil's Américo Fernandes got a free kick in the 24th minute. After having played for 33 minutes, Américo Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tartomil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Américo Vieira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Tartomil booed when SC Pocos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cristóvão Pires fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tartomil's protests and gave Cristóvão Pires a yellow card for diving instead. Fernando Setúbal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacinto Moreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Fernando Setúbal in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of André Matos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With an all-out effort, SC Pocos's André Matos threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jacinto Moreira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Luís Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Américo Vieira in the 61st minute of play. André Matos was a little too slow when Jacinto Moreira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 0-2. After 70 played minutes Tartomil got a freekick which was hit by Luís Freitas. In the 78th minute, Cristóvão Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Tartomil's zone, Fernando Setúbal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Matos came out of the goal and Fernando Setúbal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Fernando Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tartomil's goalkeeper André Matos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 92 played minutes, Tartomil's Alfredo Morais shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luís Lopes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tartomil reached it.
