After a rather tough play, Daporta FC's Bento Coimbra got a free kick in the 24th minute. Cristiano Martins's late challenge caught a SC Pacos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Martins helped the player get up and apologised. Alexandre Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre Maia in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Aleixo saved Daporta FC from getting behind. Vicente Santarém received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Cláudio Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Santarém fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Cabral having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Daporta FC got a freekick which was hit by Joel Baptista. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Santarém to make the kick off. Paulo Mota took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cláudio Cabral. Cláudio Cabral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Paulo Mota came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Daporta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Mota couldn't finish the play. After 60 played minutes SC Pacos got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Paredes. Vicente Santarém fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Cabral having to interfere. After 65 minutes, Joel Baptista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Daporta FC and the SC Pacos players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Daporta FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Joel Baptista hit a great ball. When Paulo Mota came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Daporta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Mota couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Vicente Santarém managed to get in a good position for a shot. Daporta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Santarém was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cláudio Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nuno Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Daporta FC's Manuel Aleixo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Maia in the 88th minute of play. Manuel Aleixo made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Nuno Simões sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute Paulo Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
