André Fernandes was a little too slow when João Ferreira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. José Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 9 played minutes Romeiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Maia. António Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Jacinto Maia charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacinto Maia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Romeiros FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Jacinto Maia hit a great ball. In the 16th minute João Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers António Dias in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg António Magalhães saved SC Alcorouchel from getting behind. SC Alcorouchel's José Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Luís Domingues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but António Magalhães was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandre Ribeiro during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 30 minutes, José Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Alcorouchel's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Monteiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Ferreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Fernandes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. With a little luck, Romeiros FC's André Fernandes got control of the ball when José Monteiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 38 played minutes, Romeiros FC's Gil Leite shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper António Magalhães came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Romeiros FC reached it. After some careless play in the SC Alcorouchel defense, António Dias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of António Magalhães. The SC Alcorouchel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that António Magalhães should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Ferreira made a kick off. After 58 played minutes SC Alcorouchel got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Alves. António Magalhães acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 59th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gil Leite. João Ferreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Fernandes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. SC Alcorouchel's João Ferreira got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Luís Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SC Alcorouchel's António Magalhães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Alcorouchel from getting a goal against them. SC Alcorouchel's goalkeeper couldn't reach when António Dias 74 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. In the 78th minute José Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When José Monteiro came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the SC Alcorouchel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Monteiro couldn't finish the play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, José Monteiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. André Fernandes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If João Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SC Alcorouchel fully deserved thier win.
