Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the game, Carlos Alves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Xavier Pinheiro. Carlos Alves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 8th minute of the match Afonso Correia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfredo Coimbra showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 9 minutes, Lúcio Trindade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pedragulho FC and the Cacarilhe FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cacarilhe FC booed when Pedragulho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lúcio Trindade didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Basílio Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cacarilhe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Basílio Gaspar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xavier Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedragulho FC's Xavier Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alves in the 20th minute of play. Cacarilhe FC's Alfredo Coimbra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Melo in the 24th minute of play. After 27 played minutes Cacarilhe FC got a freekick which was hit by José Barros. Alfredo Coimbra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Melo in the 38th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Alves to make the kick off. Xavier Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Alves in the 53rd minute of the match. Xavier Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Carlos Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Xavier Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Melo came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alfredo Coimbra could save by the left post. After some careless play in the Cacarilhe FC defense, Rui Melo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Coimbra. The Cacarilhe FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Coimbra should have stopped the shot. Alfredo Coimbra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rui Melo in the 70th minute. Alfredo Coimbra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Anjos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mário Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pedragulho FC's protests and gave Mário Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cacarilhe FC booed when Pedragulho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Cacarilhe FC's Vasco Valente broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 84 minutes, Carlos Alves made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Pedragulho FC's Xavier Pinheiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With 87 minutes on the clock, Marco Rocha commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of Cacarilhe FC booed when Pedragulho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position.
