Pedro Azevedo hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 29 minutes, Basílio Vale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cruzamento FC and the Muar players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Muar booed when Cruzamento FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonso Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Aguiar having to interfere. Pedro Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Maia in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Heitor Aguiar saved Cruzamento FC from getting behind. Pedro Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Heitor Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Inácio Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cruzamento FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Afonso Maia to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Filipe Ramos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Muar's Hugo Alves suffered a concussion in the 65th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After a rather tough play, Cruzamento FC's Cândido Rocha got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Cândido Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. In the 85th minute, Filipe Ramos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
