The crowd rose to their feet as Curvatos FC's António Vieira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Heitor Aguiar. That made the score 1-0 after 12 minutes of play. The Cruzamento FC fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Cruzamento FC's Filipe Ramos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Curvatos FC's zone, Filipe Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Monteiro came out of the goal and Filipe Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Inácio Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Gustavo Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Andrade in the 26th minute of play forced Curvatos FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filipe Ramos might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustavo Monteiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filipe Ramos ran back to his position shaking his head. When Cruzamento FC's Filipe Ramos in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Inácio Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Monteiro having to interfere. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Filipe Ramos to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Filipe Ramos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cruzamento FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curvatos FC the free kick. In the 55th minute, Filipe Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Filipe Baptista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Heitor Aguiar was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. António Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Heitor Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute of the match, Filipe Ramos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gustavo Monteiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 69th minute Inácio Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duarte Almeida hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. When Inácio Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cruzamento FC's protests and gave Inácio Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Curvatos FC booed when Cruzamento FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cruzamento FC's goalkeeper Heitor Aguiar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Cruzamento FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Basílio Vale hit a great ball. António Vieira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heitor Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. António Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cruzamento FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
