Pedro Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Delfim Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sandomil FC's Rafael Guarda got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute, Joaquim Amaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Relvinha's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Guarda came free, but Delfim Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Amaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute of the match, José Leão tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cristóvão Melo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Delfim Reis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Nascimento went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 28th minute, Pedro Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joaquim Amaros short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Cristóvão Melo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When José Leão came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Relvinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Leão couldn't finish the play. Joaquim Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Melo having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Relvinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Rocha to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Sandomil FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Leão to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Ferro in the 59th minute of play forced Relvinha's goalkeeper Delfim Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Melo having to interfere. 96 minutes into the game, Armando Domingues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sandomil FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Relvinha the free kick.
